I’m so glad you’re here.
I am Halli Jones and I have been a pediatric nurse since 1986. I am now a certified end-of-life doula and want to provide support to families with terminal children.
My Background As A Nurse
During my career I provided care to children in various settings, but I spent the largest stint of time in the Pediatric Intensive Care unit. It was there that I discovered I am a pediatric ICU nurse at heart. One of the things I found most rewarding was supporting families during probably the most difficult time in their lives, the death of their child. After 10 years in the ICU, I decided to follow another passion in nursing, training other nurses and healthcare professionals.
During my time spent in training and education, people would come to me to discuss difficult issues, to have a shoulder to cry on, or to have a safe space to speak openly and honestly. I realized I was unofficially coaching new nurses and colleagues, and was actually good at it! It was then I decided to pursue a coaching certification and completed my certification through Co-active Training Institute in 2019.

My Journey to Becoming an End-of-Life Doula
So how did I get to become a certified end-of-life doula? When my dad died from Parkinson’s in November 2021, someone referred our family to an end-of-life doula to help us through the death process. She provided our whole family with the emotional support we all needed to get us through the most difficult time in our lives. She was a god-send and we could not have done it without her.
About 2 weeks after my dad passed, as I was driving my car, it hit me that THIS is my calling. I had finally figured it out! At that moment, I decided I wanted to be a Pediatric End of Life Doula. I researched and found the perfect certification course through the International Doula Life Movement and became certified as an End-of-Life Doula and as a Grief Doula.
And now, here I am!
